A Month of Thanksgiving ~ Day Twenty-Eight

This post is part of a giveaway hosted by my friend Tamara at Branch of Wisdom .
Please visit her lovely blog to learn more!

I am blessed to have patient mentors and teachers for my sons to work with...good and Godly men who offer their time and their skills to those who will come out and work with them. Today Bryan is participating in a "house raising" (like an Amish barn-raising, but it's a house for a dear young couple we've known for years), and he's learning valuable building skills that he will absolutely need as a farmer! This is an answer to prayer. Thank you, dear Heavenly Father!

"For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
(Matthew 6:8)
"And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

What a wonderful thing for your son to be able to learn and a wonderful way for him to learn it. It's a double whammy!

My husband learned a lot on our first house and by the time we had made it to our third he completely redid its master bath and re-tiled the hall, laundry, kitchen and both baths! It's saved a fortune doing it instead of hiring it and I'm so thankful for that.

PTL for answered prayer for your son to have this opportunity. I know God will use it for years to come!

Amen, sister. F stayed home today; Gene picked up all the guys and away they went! They should be home by 5-ish.

Love,
Christine

What a blessing to have wonderful people in your life that are willing to guide and teach your son. Learning life skills at a younger age will make it so much easier later on in his life.

Barn/house raisings are so much fun - work, but fun. :)
